Hira Khan's Story
Hina is 28 years old house wife who is pregnant with her 3rd child. Her first daughter was delivered through a c-section surgery about 6 years ago, but her son was delivered through normal delivery procedure.
Hina is pregnant again with her third child now and doctor has advised her to undergo c-section as she cannot opt for normal delivery due to possible complications. Initially, she took treatment from a local hospital but they didn’t provide her proper medical care. She cannot afford treatment in a private hospital due to their poor financial condition.
Her husband is a daily wage labourer who earns only 400 to 500 PKR per day. They live in a 2-bedroom rented house with their children. Her husband is not only taking care of his own family, but also his mother and younger brothers who are living in the same house. Hina and her husband are extremely worried about paying the expenses of her surgery and medicines.
