“The son of Adam does not do any deed on the Day of Sacrifice that is dearer to Allah than shedding blood. It will come on the Day of Resurrection with its horns and cloven hoofs and hair. Its blood is accepted by Allah before it reaches the ground. So be content when you do it.”
(Sunan Ibn Majah 3126)
Qurbani 2024 will be performed on Eid-ul-Adha, which is expected to be on June 16, 2024 or June 17, 2024.
Qurbani meat is often distributed among the family members of the person who has given Qurbani, their friends and relatives, and at least one-third of it should go to the poor and needy. However, when you give your Qurbani donation online through Transparent Hands, 100% of the meat is distributed among underprivileged families.
You can sacrifice goats, cows, sheep, and camels on Eid-ul-Adha. But make sure the animals have reached the required age and are healthy.
Qurbani is mandatory for all Muslims who meet the Nisab threshold.
We should refrain from cutting hair and nails from the first day of Dhul Hijjah to the day the Qurbani is performed.
When you give Qurbani online, you can opt for a goat or sheep, which is equivalent to one share. Alternatively, you can book a share in a cow or camel, which is divided into seven equal shares. You can select more than one share.
