Saira Nazir's Story
“My wife has become a heart patient at such a young age. I want her to grow old with me. Please save my wife by contributing for her surgery.” – Saira’s husband requested.
Saira Nazir is 30 years old and about a year ago, she started experiencing pain in her chest. She went to a local hospital where the doctors diagnosed her with Rheumatic Heart Disease, affecting Mitral Valves. She has been advised surgery, to replace the affected valve, as long term cure.
She then visited many public hospitals for free surgery but none of them took her case.
Saira is experiencing severe pain in the chest, shortness of breath, palpitations and fatigue. Her condition may become life threatening if she does not get timely surgery.
Saira’s husband is a factory laborer with a monthly salary of 10,000 PKR. She has 3 children and they live in a small house. Such meagre income does not allow her husband to get her operated.
Luckily, they came across Transparent Hands and contacted the organization for free surgery.
