Transparent Hands Organized Medical & Surgical Camp in Slum with Packages Foundation
Transparent Hands organized a FREE MEDICAL AND SURGICAL CAMP on 25th May 2017 with the collaboration of Packages Foundation. The Camp was arranged to facilitate the deserving people living in slums near Punjab Society and surrounding areas. Main aim of the camp was to provide free checkup and medicines to the deserving patients who were unable to undergo medical treatment because of limited finance.
There were many patients who needed medical treatment out of which, 3 were identified for the surgeries; Inguinal Hernia child, Inguinal Hernia Adult and symptomatic Gall Stones. These patients were advised to get medical evaluation for further process.
All other patients present at the camp were checked for free. Many of them were experiencing heart problems, high blood pressure, high sugar level, fever, deficiency of iron, respiratory infections and many other diseases. They were given free medicines including painkillers, antibiotics, anti hypertensives and medicines for diabetes. Blood sugar checkup facility was also provided to the patients for free. Many old patients who were suffering from these ailments were given medicines and advised for a healthier lifestyle.
The camp was successfully held with a hope that it’d create a long lasting impact on the lives of people living in slums. All the people were informed about Transparent Hands for surgical treatment in future if required. We at Transparent Hands intend to help many such people in future again with the collaboration of kind partners like Packages Foundation. We were able to touch the lives of many people and we hope that in future, we can reach hundreds of deprived people again with your immense support.
