Ramadan Calendar

As the Islamic calendar is based on the lunar cycle, the Holy Month of Ramadan has an annual rotation of roughly ten days. This year, Ramadan is anticipated to start on the evening of Saturday, 9th March 2024 subject to moon sightings.

Saturday, 9th March – Ramadan 2024 begins
Sunday, 10th March – the first day of sawm (fasting)
Friday, 5th April – Laylat al-Qadr (The Night of Power)
Tuesday, 9th April– final day of sawm (fasting)
Wednesday, 10th April – Eid-ul-Fitr

Duaa for Breaking Fast in Ramadan

اللهم إني لك صمت وبك أمنت وعليك توكلت وعلى رزقك أفطرت

Transliteration: Allahumma inni laka sumtu, wa bika aamantu, wa ‘alayka tawakkaltu, wa Ala rizqika aftartu

English translation: Oh Allah! I fasted for You and I believe in You, and I put my trust in You, and I break my fast with Your sustenance.
