Thanksgiving is not just a celebratory occasion. It is the time when we should sit in silence to take a closer look into our lives and be grateful for all the blessings, opportunities, and wealth we have acquired with our hard work and abilities.

We take so many things for granted. We have so much to be thankful for yet we complain about the little inconveniences in life. We often frown about the life we are living, because we have this tendency to believe that: ‘the grass is always green on the other side of the river!’

We know humanity has failed when people are being deprived of their fundamental rights like access to food, shelter or healthcare all over the world. We see humanity to fail, when a person dies in a terrible health condition without proper treatment or surgery.

Thanksgiving comes with a celebratory mood with sparkling candles, roasted turkey, scrumptious pies and gifts from our loved ones glaring all around us.Thanksgiving should not be considered  just as an occasion, to be celebrated with our family or friends but reconsider this day to be spent for the well being of others.
