In a survey of Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) conducted under Global Giving Index 2014, Pakistan has been endorsed among the most generous countries of the world. The rank of 61 out of 135 is after all a big thing considering the country does not have a good standard of living as compare to the west. People in Pakistan take great interest in all kinds of charitable activities. They actively participate in humanitarian work, cause, volunteering and donating in order to help the underprivileged class.

The cultural values here in Pakistan also teach the lessons of brother hood and cooperation which enhances the mindset of helping one another. These values are enforced in children at a very young age. The occasions of Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha reinforce these teachings and transform them into practicality. On both Eids, there is a custom of helping poor people financially so they could celebrate too. These are the core values of the society without which any society can collapse.
There are a huge number of people with a very low standard of living; they cannot even afford two meals a day. When these people get sick or catch a life threatening disease, they do not know whom to look for?
