The NGOs play a vital role in the society as the catalyst and partner. Even though the government is a powerful institution, it cannot be present everywhere and has its own limitations. So NGOs act as the extending hand to the government by interacting with those who require help to bring their issues into the notice of policymakers.

The exact meaning of the Arabic word Zakat is to grow in goodness, prosperity and the purification of soul and the wealth. The act of giving Zakat is purifying one’s wealth to gain God’s blessings for the wealth to grow in goodness. Khaira Ummah known as the vision of the best community, Zakat is the major economic contribution that brings the Muslim society towards prosperity, security, and social justice. It also reduces the difference between the rich and poor.

Zakat is the compulsory giving of a fixed proportion of one's wealth to charity. It is considered as a type of worship and self-purification. Zakat is one of five pillars of Islam. Zakat is not the charitable gifts given out of kindness or generosity, but it is the mandatory giving of 2.5% of one's wealth each year to benefit the poor and the needy.

Zakat means blessing, purification, growth, and goodness because it purifies the wealth from which it is taken and protects it from misfortunes. Zakat is a determined portion taken from wealth and allocated to the poor, needy and other deserving people. It is mentioned in the Quran, (Surah Al-Taubah, No.9, Verse: 103): “Of their goods take alms, that so thou mightest purify and sanctify them; and pray on their behalf, verily thy prayers are a source of security for them.”

So, medical camps provide free medical advice, medicine to the unfortunate people and refer for specialized treatment or surgery whenever it is required.

Free Health Checkup Camps are organized to facilitate access to healthcare free of cost and enrich the lives of poor children and adults with chronic illnesses by providing them proper treatment and medication. These camps are staffed by healthcare providers like physicians, nurses, pharmacists, phlebotomist, supervisors, patient registration persons, and volunteers.

We spend our monotonous life working in order to survive, to build our own homes, to look after our families, to shape our future and toil hard so that life blesses us with all kinds of prosperities. We believe that human existence lies in just staying alive so we forget to find a worthy reason to live for.
